THE CURTAIN IS TORN

We can now enter into the Holy of Holies

On the Cross when Jesus cried, “It is finished” the curtain in the temple was torn from top to bottom. The Holy of Holies was exposed. Always before, no one but the High Priest was ever allowed to enter. I can imagine the shock of the High Priest when he saw the heavy, thick curtain separating the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies split in two.

The fact that it was torn from the top to the bottom is significant. It had to be God. No man would ever be allowed or capable to attempt a feat like that.

When Jesus died, His blood was taken to the Mercy Seat in Heaven. Our Father was satisfied with the propitiatory sacrifice that Jesus had offered. As a result, there was no need for the Holy of Holies in an earthly tabernacle.

“For Christ did not enter into a holy place made with human hands, which was only a COPY of the true one in heaven. He entered into heaven itself to appear now before God on our behalf. “ Hebrew 9:24

For the past two thousand years, the Holies of Holy in Heaven has been opened to the believers. With our spirits born again we now have access before the Throne of Grace through the blood of Jesus. We are one spirit with the Lord. Jesus said, “ But the hour has come and now is, when the TRUE worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. (John 4:23,24).

Notice the two Cherubini’s woven into the curtain facing each other. What do you think God was saying to us? Could it be that He has removed the two Angels He placed at the the entrance to the Garden of Eden to guard the Tree of Life? (Genesis 3:24) I believe it is true. Jesus is the TREE OF LIFE. Apart from Him we are dead in our trespasses and sin. (Ephesians 2:1)

Until Jesus came into the world to rescue us from the Tree of Good and Evil, this world’s system was all we knew. Now we have a choice, but we can’t eat from both. Choose the The Tree of Life and you will spiritually live forever, or continue to choose The Tree of Good and Evil and be spiritually separated for your creator forever. We can’t serve two masters.
